Members of the WCC Team (Candice Chen MD, MPH, Julia Strasser DrPH, MPH, Randl Dent PhD, MS, Janice Blanchard MD, PhD, MPH, Maria Portela-Martinez MD, MPH, Lauren Muñoz RN, PhD, Becka DeSmidt MPH, and Jessica Perlo MPH) explain in this newly published paper how the Dr. Lorna Breen Health Care Provider Act came about and how that law prompted the creation of federal funds for healthcare and public safety worker well-being. The team explains the types of work the grantees are doing and offers early lessons learned from their efforts.
