The NAM’s Clinician Well-Being Collaborative held an engaging hybrid event on Confronting Workforce Shortages and Health Worker Well-Being: Harnessing Lessons from Rural Health Settings, co-hosted with the Council for Medical Specialty Societies and the University of Kansas Medical Center. This convening was in Kansas City and livestreamed for the public.
This meeting aimed to:
- Frame the health workforce shortage crisis and discuss its implications for health worker well-being and access to safe, high-quality care delivery.
- Explore a case study of workforce shortages in rural health settings and highlight strategies for overcoming workforce challenges and barriers to health worker well-being.
- Explore successful strategies and solutions to promote health worker well-being, enhance team-based care, and contribute to equitable health outcomes.
